OFFICIAL JOCKSTARZZ BOWL DRAFT ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Eligibility to participate in the 2009 Jockstarzz Bowl is limited exclusively to young men or women who must:
-Attend tryout combine in summer
-Be 13-15 years old and a member of a youth, middle, or junior high 2009 football or cheer team.
-Be at a minimum weight of 135lbs (football applicants)
-Have the minimum GPA of 2.7 on a 4.0 scale (interested applicants who do meet this requirement must submit an academic waiver form)
-Recommendation from:
1) Teacher, or Counselor
2) Coach
-Submit highlight video footage from 2009 football season if available (football applicants only)

ABOUT THE NATIONAL JOCKSTARZZ BOWL
On Monday January 18, 2010 the Martin Luther King Holiday, Orlando will play host to the annual National All Star Jockstarzz Bowl. The Bowl will feature some of the nation’s brightest youth league, middle and junior high school football players and cheerleaders.
The Jock stars exhibit traits on and off the field that embody the ideals of amateur football. Their scholarship, leadership, discipline, commitment, drive and teamwork have propelled them to an outstanding level of excellence. These jocks are tomorrow’s high school and collegiate superstars who are destined to “Go Pro” in any industry they choose.
The Jockstarzz Bowl, built on the traditional rivalry of powerhouse football states, is the first and only “national” youth all star game that drafts jocks ages 13- 15 years old based on character as well as academic and athletic excellence. The Bowl seeks to identify and prepare jocks by promoting education and celebrating their accomplishments in the classroom, on the field and in the community.
Jock stars are drafted based on their academic standing, letters of recommendation, personal statement essays, athletic performance and highlight footage if available. An advisory board comprised of top sports writers, coaches and athletic directors from across the country make the final selections.
An all star cast of Top High School and Youth League Coaches and NFL Pros coach this East vs. West match up. Past National Football League players have included, Zack Crockett, Carlos Emmons, Deon Grant, Quinn Gray, Edgerrin James, Andre Johnson, Chad Johnson, Jamal Lewis, Bryant McKinnie, Godfrey Myles, Louis Oliver, Warren Sapp, H.B. Blades and Takeo Spikes.
